Following Eren Yeager’s catastrophic deeds, his allies and old adversaries band together to oppose his genocidal spree. Armin Arlert, Mikasa Ackerman, and the remaining Scout Regiment soldiers team up with Reiner Braun and the Marleyan military survivors despite having been sworn enemies in the past. A quest to avert Eren’s wrath and, if possible, save their fallen friend is undertaken by their feeble unified front.
Eren fights his own inner conflict as he advances at all costs. Eren believes that despite his intense regret for his horrifying invasion, he has good intentions: he thinks that the road forward is the only way to save his companions and, to a greater extent, his people.
The opposing battalions advance inexorably toward a decisive battle that could result in the deaths of millions of people. Mikasa, Armin, and their companions bravely face imminent death despite being confronted by a monstrous army beyond anything they could have previously imagined.
